Sid places a straightforward and highly secure team chat system at your disposal. Despite its simple appearance and low resource usage, the application comes with a lot under its hood. Its main advantage is the fact that you may communicate with other people through a highly encrypted end-to-end channel. Your conversations won't be stored on any servers, thus eliminating any risk of a privacy breach.

The software is free and you can have it up and running in no time. It provides support for all popular Windows versions and it is available for other platforms as well, including mobile devices. The hardware requirements are modest and there is no need to install any supplementary tools or services.

The user interface has a compact and efficient layout. Everything is placed right in front of you, so you don't have to spend any time looking through menus, regardless of what you intend to do. Another important aspect, which makes Sid a straightforward application, is the quick account registration system. Simply typing in a preferred username, when launching the application for the first time, is sufficient to get started.

Like other modern chat applications, Sid displays your contacts in a column, on the left side of the interface and you can chat with selected contacts in the larger area on the right. You can switch from the contacts list to a teams list and to a devices list, via navigation tabs. Teams are essentially chat groups, which can be created by simply naming them and choosing which contacts to invite, on separate windows.

If you have one or more mobile devices around, with Sid installed on them, you can find the devices in the appropriate list, where you can link them to your account. This gives you the possibility of chatting with your Sid team mates while on the road.

Communicating with co-workers and team members can be done much easier with Sid's straightforward and easy to master functionality.

Pros

You can create a user account and add contacts to your list with only a few clicks. The application lets you create groups without any effort. It is available for mobile devices as well, to allow you to chat while on the road.

Cons

There are no serious issues to mention.
